WRIGHT’S BIOGRAPHY
Dr.
Wright obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Georgetown
University. He graduated from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in
New York City in 1981. He performed his Internal Medicine residency
at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. He
then completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University
of California, San Diego.
Dr. Wright is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular
Diseases. He is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology, a member
of the American Heart Association Council on Clinical Cardiology, an Adjunct
Associate Professor at San Diego State University, and a Clinical Instructor
at UCSD.
Dr. Wright practiced cardiology for many years in the East County of
San Diego, at Grossmont and Alvarado Hospitals. In 1999, he founded the
LifeScore Clinic to perform preventive assessments for the early detection
of heart disease, stroke risk, lung cancer, colon cancer and many other
treatable conditions. To date, the LifeScore Clinic has helped over 10,000
clients. The Clinic is also actively involved in many research projects.
Dr. Wright’s cardiology practice in on the premises. The practice will
focus on the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease with
aggressive preventive strategies. Dr. Wright believes in extensive
education and communication, so that patients can actively participate
in the process of healing and the development of healthful lifestyle
strategies.
